1. OUR SCHOOL
General Information
Morfosis Private School is a general secondary Russian private school with advanced instruction in English and Greek. The school’s secondary and senior divisions are located in the center of Limassol at 12 Dimitri Liperti Street, while the primary school is in Kolossi at 30 Kozanis Street (the school offers transportation to and from both locations via two separate routes for an additional fee). There is also a branch of the school (primary, middle, and high school) in Paphos at 4 Tetidos Street.
For many Russians living in Cyprus—whether permanently or temporarily—children’s education is a top concern. Where to send your child so they can successfully adapt to a new country, receive a well-rounded foundational education, and still be able to continue higher education in Russia or Europe without issues, while preserving their cultural roots, respecting and loving their language and literature, and remembering Slavic traditions and culture?
MORFOSIS, a private bilingual general secondary school, fully meets these needs. It is licensed by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Cyprus and began operating on September 5, 2013.
Thanks to highly qualified teachers, an individualized approach to each student, and engaging extracurricular courses, the school quickly gained popularity.
The school facilities feature spacious, bright classrooms and large auditoriums where various exciting events are held. Students also participate in international festivals and competitions, as well as excursions—which are mandatory and paid for separately.
(Examples: the Russian-Cypriot Festival, Galaxy Talent Show, International Online Math Olympiad, Creative Kids Festival—students have earned top prizes.)
The school follows the educational curricula of the Ministries of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, Greece, the United Kingdom, and Cyprus.
The grading system is based on the Russian five-point scale:
-
5 – Excellent
-
4 – Good
-
3 – Satisfactory
-
2 – Unsatisfactory
If a student is not satisfied with their grade after reviewing their work, they may retake the assessment to improve their result without any additional fees. The final grade is the score of the last attempt.
If a student disputes a grade, their work will be reviewed by a specially formed school committee. If an error is found, the grade will be revised.
Currently, the number of students in each class (grades 0–11) does not exceed 26.
After-School Program (Extended Day)
After regular classes, an extended day program runs from 13:40 to 18:20. This is an excellent option for working parents to ensure their child is cared for regardless of their main school location. The program includes homework assistance, a hot lunch, and additional lessons in origami and visual arts.
Hot, home-style lunches (Russian-Cypriot and European cuisine) are available for an additional fee.
